About Microassist Accessibility Solutions

Microassist provides a series of services to help organizations understand their digital accessibility environment, how it touches all aspects of their organization and how to mitigate the risk of inaccessibility.  These services include:

  • Audit – We audit digital assets and provide actionable reports.  These reports not only tell you what is not in compliance but give guidance as to how to make the asset accessible.
  • Remediation – Sometimes the organization’s personnel may not have the expertise or bandwidth to remediate assets in a timely manner. We have staff that can either work with them side-by-side or conduct the remediation outright.  Depending on the size of the project, it’s often a blended approach, including guidance appropriate to staff bandwidth, deadlines, and skillsets, with Microassist supporting the heavy lifting on more complex solutions.
  • Training – This is often is a missing piece of the program. Digital assets may be only accessible until they are altered again – by a creator or even a system update.  Trained personnel who incorporate accessibility into everyday tasks mitigates the risk of having non-accessible assets.
  • Procurement and VPATsOne key evaluation criteria in measuring compliance includes the creation and evaluation of an accurate and current Voluntary Product Accessibility Template(VPAT) to produce an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) demonstrating the extent to which a technology product or digital material meets best practices for usability and accessibility.
